Notes: A study on the climatic adaptability of the introduced lac insect Kerria sindica (Mahdihassan) in China. Pilot experiments during 10 years indicate that the optimum breeding temperature is an annual average of over 23 degree C where it can complete 2 generations a year with regular life cycle, ample lac secretion and characteristics of high reproduction and adaptability. Annual average temperatures of lac breeding regions in China established.
