Notes: A new species of the genus Eriococcus (E. rugosus sp. nov.) collected from Phyllostachys pubescens at Yuhang Xian in Zhejiang Province, China, is described. This new species is close to E. pseudinsignis, but differs from the latter by the following characters: antennae has 6 joints; between the bases of the anal lobes is a small, sclerotized cauda; marginal row on the 2-7 abdominal segments caries 2-4 setae and arrangement of the marginal setae is different.
