Notes: Among various entomophagous species attacking the soft brown scale Coccus hesperidum L., an apparently new species of Coccophagus Westw. (Hym. Aphelinidae), tentatively called Coccophagus vesuvianus, was discovered in Italy. Subsequently, after comparison with other Coccophagus species belonging to the group ochraceus Howard, this species has been attributed to Coccophagus matsuyamensis Ishihara.
