Notes: In this study, we sequenced five whole genomes and one transcriptome from species of Pseudococcidae, a family within Coccoidea. Alongside existing genome and transcriptome sequence data, we conducted a phylogenomic analysis of scale insects. Our goals are: (i) to introduce a novel approach to enhance the application of genomic‐scale data for resolving phylogenetic relationships within Coccoidea; (ii) to establish a framework for incorporating additional data for phylogenomic analysis; and (iii) to provide insights into the group′s phylogeny.
