Notes: Cacoxenus (Gitonides) campsiphallus Chassagnard and Tsacas, 2003 is a poorly studied Oriental drosophilid, with larvae preying on mealybugs. In this research,we found twenty individuals of C. (G.) campsiphallus preying the invasive mealybug Maconellicoccus hirsutus in southern Iran.
