Notes: A fixed and roving survey conducted over two years viz., 2013 and 2014 over four different districts of North Karnataka indicated the occurrence of nine species of scale insects viz., Coccus hesperidum (L.), Ceroplastes stellifer (Westwood), Pseudaulacaspis sp., Hemiberlesia lataniae (Signoret), Saissetia oleae (Oliver), Hemilecanium imbricans (Green), Ceroplastes rubens (Maskell), Aulacaspis tubercularis (Newst.), Pulvinaria psidi (Maskell) on mango. However, among the nine species H. imbricans was the most dominant species in both fixed and roving survey.
