Notes: A review is given of the species of Encyrtidae that are natural enemies of insect pests of agricultural crops in the Turkmen SSR, USSR, together with the possibilities for their use in biological control. The species discussed include Anthemus aspidioti, a parasite of Parlatoria oleae, Diaspidiotus prunorum and Quadraspidiotus slavonicus; Blastothrix longipennis and Microterys duplicatus, parasites of Parthenolecanium corni; B. scenographica, a parasite of Eulecanium rugulosum; and Anagyrus pseudococci, a parasite of Planococcus ficus.
