Notes: Chazeauana gahniae, n. gen., n. sp. is described and illustrated. The genus was found beneath the sheath of Gahnia novocaledonensis (Cyperaceae), in Yate (New Caledonia) and is characterized by the presence of large marginal spines with basally bulbous apex, a pair of postgenital cup-shaped invaginations, 3- or 4-segmented antennae and legs reduced to stubs.
