Notes: Title in English: [Bionomic and morphological observations on Physokermes hemicryphus (Dalman) (Homoptera Coccoidea Coccidae) in Basilicata region (south Italy). The small spruce-bud scale, Physokermes hemicryphus is soft scale living only on Picea and Abies trees. Its presence in Italy was first signaled in northern regions. Recently we found this species also on appeninic fir or spruce stands of Calabria and Basilicata regions (south Italy). Hosts and biology are discussed and a key to separate P. hemicryphus from P. piceae is also given.
