Kozár, F., & Seprös, I. 2001 New scale insect pests (Homoptera: Coccoidea: Coccidae) on urban ornamentals.. Növényvédelem 37(9): 441-444.
Notes: Two important coccid species were found during this survey on urban ornamental plants: camellia scale (Chloropulvinaria floccifera) and hydrangea scale (Eupulvinaria hydrangea). The latter species is new for the Hungarian fauna and both species are new on the list of the major scale insect pests. These species may attack various shrubs and trees, such as Euonymus, Taxus, Celtis, Sophora, Aesculus, Acer, Tilia and other ornamentals. Close monitoring of their distribution and population increases are recommended. Pulvinaria regalis is another species likely to occur.
