Notes: Cryptostigma rhizophilum Kondo (Hemiptera: Coccoidea: Coccidae) is reported from the roots of the OxG oil palm hibrid (Elaeis oleifera x E. guineensis) (Arecaceae). A diagnosis and a first-time description of the external morphology of the adult female of C. rhizophilum is provided.
