Notes: Checklist of Turkish Coccoidea Species (Hemiptera) Abstract: The Superfamily Coccoidea is a group known as scale insects, that contains many agricultural pests. In Turkey, 267 species belonging to 187 genera of 12 families are known in the superfamily Coccoidea. These species mainly show a palearctic zoogeographic distribution and are composed of 60 cosmopolite and 12 endemic species. The family Diaspididae was detected as the most distributed family with 96 species belonging to 40 genera, while the family Coccidae contained 48 species belonging to 25 genera and the family Pseudococcidae contained 73 species belonging to 26 genera. This is followed by Asterolecaniidae (2 genera, 6 species), Cerococcidae (1 genera, 1 species), Eriococcidae (3 genera, 20 species), Kermesidae (2 genera, 8 species), Leconodiaspidae (2 genera, 2 species) Margarodidae (7 genera, 11 species). Dactylopidae, Micrococcidae veve Orthezeiidae families are the lowest individualrecorded families with 1 genus and 1 species.
