Notes: To detect the difference in population characteristics between group- and individually-reared P. marginatus, we collected life tables reared on jatropha (J. integerrima) using group- and individual-rearing methods. For a proper analysis of life tables with different developmental stages in female and male individuals, we introduced an innovative analytical method based on the age-stage, two-sex life table theory. Furthermore, we used computer simulation to compare the population growth and management of P. marginatus.
