Notes: Abstract: Adult female and crawler of this species redescribed; 2nd and 3rd instar female, the 2nd instar male, pupa and adult male are described for first time; this species previously considered to belong in family Eriococcidae, but present study places it in family Coccidae; synonymy of Lefroyia castanea Green confirmed; lectotype designated.
