Notes: Populations of brown soft scale, Coccus hesperidum (Homoptera: Coccidae), observed in 20 Rio Grande Valley citrus groves during 1966 showed a continued decrease in the general intensity of infestations. Population density of parasites and possible influence of ultra-low-volume applications of methyl parathion are discussed.
