Haque, J., & Ghosh, A.B. 2007 Effect of Beauveria bassiana (Bals.) Vuill, Metarhizium anisopliae Metsch.) Sorokin and Nimbecidine on some insect pests.. Environment and Ecology 25: 209-211
Notes: The effects of Beauveria bassiana (2.5x10 conidia/ml), Metarhizium anisopliae (1x10 SUP 8 conidia/ml) and Nimbecidine (0.03%) were studied on larvae of Helicoverpa armigera and Epilachna beetle and females of Coccidohystrix insolita in the laboratory. The white muscardine fungus, B. bassiana , caused 25.0-45.75% mortality in 10-day-old larvae of H. armigera , 91.62-100% and 52.28-90.42% in 2- and 7-day-old grubs of Epilachna , respectively, and 33.42-42.92% in C. insolita . The green muscardine, M. anisopliae , resulted in 29.12-58.25% mortality in H. armigera , 91.62-100% and 90.42% mortality in 2- and 7-day-old Epilachna grubs and 37.35-43.13% mortality in C. insolita , respectively. Mortality with neem insecticide Nimbecidine was 79.12-87.5%, 95.75-100%, 100% and 34.2-48.16% in H. armigera , 2- and 7-day-old grubs of Epilachna beetle and C. insolita , respectively.
