Notes: ABSTRACT . Samples from more than 100 years of collecting trips were analysed. An investigation from preserved plant specimens in herbaria was also performed. From the material two species, Chorizococcus multiporus Gertsson & Hodgson and Pulvinaria glacialis Gertsson & Hodgson were new to science. Another two species Peliococcus calluneti (Lindinger) and Eriococcus psedinsignis Green new to the scale insect fauna of Greenland were found. These two species were also new to the Nearctic fauna. Other species in the material were: Arctorthezia ctaphracta (Olafsen) and Peliococcus balteatus (Green). The distribution patterns of these species and species from neighbouring countries in the Arctic are discussed.
