Notes: Title in English: [Composition of insect wax. II. Wax from Ceroplastes rusci, Icerya purchasi, Pulvinaria flocifera (floccifera?) and Quadraspidiotus perniciosus.] The composition of insect wax belonging to the family of Coccidae has been determined by using adsorption chromatography and gas-liquid chromatography. Hydroxylated fatty acids have been found in two species: Icerya purchasi and Pulvinaria floccifera but other components such as hydrocarbons, fatty alcohols and non-hydroxylated fatty acids are very similar in all the species which were investigated.
