Notes: Abstract: Gossyparia spuria infests elms (Ulmus spp.); more abundant on U. procera (English elm) than on U. pumila (Siberian elm); scale density and defoliation by elm leaf beetle, Xanthogaleruca (=Pyrrhalta) luteola were apparently associated; only one species out of five tested here, Coccophagus insidiator, has previously been reported on European elm scale in California; Trichomasthus coeruleus recovered at two locations.
