Chen, W.Y. 1984 [A report of trial on interception and killing of Drosicha corpulenta by plastic rings impregnated with poisonous oil.]. Forest Science and Technology No. 11: 32, inside back cover, 15.
Notes: D. corpulenta is a forest pest damaging more than 10 species including walnut (Juglans), persimmon, cypress (Cupressus) and elm trees. Walnut trees were ringed before large numbers of pests started to climb the stems (which usually occurs in Feb.) with 16.5-cm wide plastic strips covered with a mixture of DDVP [dichlorvos], machine oil and grease in the proportion 0.5:2:5, at 1 m above ground. Pest mortality rate was >90%.
