Notes: Experiments were carried on in Cuba, using a twenty cubic foot fumigation box in which the temperature was controlled, to determine the gas concentration necessary to kill green scale (Coccus viridis). It was found that, at a temperature of 85-90 degrees F., one hour's exposure to concentrations of .04% to .05% HCN gave 100% control. Concentrations of .19% gave 100% control at exposures as low as 5 min. The insects were exposed in situ on sapodilla or orange twigs.
