Notes: A recently described species, Peliococcus schmuttereri Caballero & Kaydan, 2024, is a junior homonym of Peliococcus schmuttereri Săvescu, 1984. A replacement name, Peliococcus bavaricus Caballero & Kaydan nomen novum, is therefore proposed here to resolve this nomenclatural issue.
