Babayan, G.A., & Oganesian, S.B. 1985 [The girdled soft scale.]. Zashchita Rastenii No. 4: 18-19.
Notes: The biology and harmfulness of Didesmococcus unifasciatus, a pest of peach in the Armenian SSR, USSR, are outlined. Its main parasites are Metaphycus babajani, Microterys hortulanus and M. cuprinus. Coccophagus lycimnia is hyperparasitic on Metaphycus babajani, Pachyneuron concolor [P. muscarum] on M. babajani and Microterys hortulanus, and Cheiloneurus claviger on M. hortulanus and M. cuprinus. D. unifasciatus could be controlled using 0.2% Actellic [pirimiphos-methyl] (99% effectiveness), Cymbush [cypermethrin] (94%) or Dursban [chlorpyrifos] (97%) at 2 litres/ha.
