Ausaf, R., & Ahmed, H. 1973 Comparative toxicity of some organophosphorus and carbamate insecticides to the mealy bug, Rastrococcus spinosus (Rob.).. Pakistan Journal of Zoology 5(2): 205-206.
Notes: Seven insecticides were tested in sprays in the laboratory against Rastrococcus spinosus (Robs.) on mango. Test insects from mango trees in Karachi, Pakistan, were treated on the leaves in a Potter's tower, and mortalities were recorded after 24 h. It was found that Salithion [2-methoxy-4H-1,3,2-benzo-dioxaphosphorine 2-sulphide], fenitrothion, carbaryl, dimethoate, methyl-parathion and phosphamidon were 26.6, 1.2, 1.2, 1.1, 0.9 and 0.7 times as toxic, respectively, as malathion, for which the LC50 was 0.4458%.
