Notes: Accounts are given of the food-plants, biology and injuriousness of the mussel scale [Lepidosaphes ulmi], San Jose scale [Quadraspidiotus perniciosus] and brown scale [Parthenolecanium corni], which attack mainly fruit trees, and the willow scale [Chionaspis salicis], which attacks willow [Salix] and other trees, in the USSR. Descriptive notes are also given on the different stages. Agrotechnical and chemical control measures are detailed.
