Notes: A short illustrated description is given of the insect pest Ceroplastes ceriferus, found for the first time in Europe on laurel (Laurus nobilis) hedges near Verona, N. Italy, in 2001, and subsequently at two locations in Emilia Romagna and Lombardy, on greenhouse stock.
