Remarks
- Systematics: Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin (2015) stated that they did not see any discrete differences between the genera Trionymus and Eurycoccus and did not use Eurycoccus for any Palaearctic species. Therefore, they determined that the characters of Eurycoccus sternlichti conformed "perfectly" to the diagnosis of Trionymus.
- Structure: Female body broadly oval, about 2 mm long, pink in life. Antennae 8-segmented. legs with shortened and thickened segments; hind coxae with translucent pores. Anal apparatus complicated, with inner row of pores, two outer rows of spinulae and 6 short setae, which are similar in length to the diameter of the anal ring. Both pairs of ostioles well developed. Circulus large, broadly oval or almost quadrate. Multilocular pores few, forming short transverse rows on three posterior abdominal sternites and occasionally present on V abdominal sternite. (Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin, 2015)
- Biology: Occurring in colonies of two to five in hollows of branches and causing galls up to 8 cm long and 2-3 mm thick. Associated with ants Crematogaster sp. (Williams, 1958a). Adult females are found in association with developing acorns, between November and December (Spodek, et al., 2014).
- General Remarks: Good description and illustration of the adult female given by Williams (1958a).
