Remarks
- Structure: Female body elongate-oval, up to 4 mm long. Antennae 8-segmented. Legs thin; hind coxae with translucent pores. Anal apparatus complicated, with 3-4 rows of spinulae. Both pairs of ostioles present. Circulus absent. Multilocular and trilocular pores scattered on entire body surface. (Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin, 2015)
- Biology: Occurring beneath the leaf sheaths of the host plant.
- Economic Importance: Willcocks (1925) reported that millet plants may become infested with dense population of this mealybug, when the plants have been left for a much longer than the normal time required for grain production.
