Remarks
- Biology: Occurring along the stems under the leaf sheaths of the host plant.
- Economic Importance: Osborn (1951 p.154) reported that this mealybug developed large populations on part of 15.000 acres of barley in California, causing damage and hampering harvesting operations, due to the sticky honeydew.
- General Remarks: Good description and illustration of the adult female given by McKenzie (1967).
