Remarks
- Systematics: According to the descriptions of Chorizococcus mirzayansi, it should not be placed in the genus Chorizococcus based on possessing more than 5 pairs of cerarii, a major diagnostic character in distinguishing genus Chorizococcus from the genus Spilococcus in Williams’s definition (2004) or it should be included in genus Spilococcus sesu lato proposed by Danzig (1998). Therefore, Tsai & Wu, 2011 assigned the species to Spilococcus. In Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin, this species was transferred to Atrococcus, but we are leaving it as Spilococcus until we have more information.
- Structure: Slide-mounted adult female broadly oval. Anal lobes moderately developed. Antennae each with 8 segments. Legs well developed; hind leg with large translucent pores on coxa and tibia; claw with a small denticle. (Moghaddam & Watson, 2022)
- General Remarks: Detailed description in Moghaddam, 2010.
