Remarks
- Systematics: This species is similar to R. americanus, R. caladii and R. latus. However, R. colombiensis differs from these species in the following attributes: i) the shape of the genital chamber is very different, being broader at the posterior region, with a slight constriction anterior to vulva; in the other three species, the genital chamber is tubular at the posterior region and does not have a constriction; ii) the dorsal posteromarginal pair of setae of the prothorax is conspicuously larger in R. colombiensis (47–60 μm) long, than the other three species (10–20 μm), and iii) abdominal segment VII has two or three pairs of marginal and submarginal setae that are conspicuously longer (50–65 μm) than the other setae of abdominal segment VII, compared to the other three species (15–25 μm). (Ramos & Caballero, 2016)
- Structure: Body oval, elongate, oblong, 1.2 (0.9–1.9) mm long, 0.6 (0.5–1.0) mm wide.
