Remarks
- Systematics: Subfamily: Pseudopulvinariinae. Tribe: Pseudopulvinariini.
Atkinson placed this genus in Maskell's Hemicoccina, with some structural characters of the Coccina and some of the Lecanina. Ferris (1957) considered that a case could be made for its assignment to the Eriococcidae and also to the Coccidae. Hoy (1963) agreed. This monotypic genus was considered to belong in family Eriococcidae, but it was removed from the family by Morrison & Morrison, 1966. They stated that Lefroyia Green is preoccupied by Lefroyia Jones in Pisces. The type species of Lefroyia Green, L. castaneae, is synonymous with Pseudopulvinaria sikkimensis Atkinson. Thus Lefroyia is a junior subjective synonym of Pseudopulvinaria Atkinson and a junior homonym of Lefroyia Jones. Hodgson (1991) placed it in family Coccidae
