Remarks
- Systematics: Generic characteristics that distinguish this genus from all other eriococcids are: enlarged setae present; without protruding anal lobes; antennae reduced; without pores or ducts (Green, 1926). The type species of this genus was described in the Eriococcinae, but Green (1926) stated it superficially resembled Pedronia.
- Structure: Adult female oval, posterior end rounded without anal lobes. Antennae 3-segmented; frontal lobes absent. Legs well developed but small for size of body, claw with a denticle. Anal ring small, situated ventrally at posterior end, with pores and 6 setae. Marginal setae mostly truncate-conical with tip bifid. Dorsal setae similar to marginal setae but much smaller, usually with tip bifid. Microtubular ducts present, each with bilocular orifice. Reticulated plate-like sclerotisations present on dorsum and along margins of venter. Quinquelocular pores present on venter only. (Hodgson & Williams, 2016a)
