- Systematics: The following characters are distinctive for P. kotejai: compound eyes with 40–60 ommatidia; flagellar antennal segments more or less distinctly trinodose, with long setae tending to cluster in three
groups, but do not form distinct whorls as in recent representatives of many Monophlebidae; cubital ridge shorter than subcostal ridge; claws straight. (Simon & Zyla, 2015)
