Holotype, female, Type depository: Shanxi: Entomological Institute, Shanxi Agricultural University, Taigu, Shanxi, China; junior synonym (discovered by Tang1992, 95). Notes: Mirococcopsis artomisiphilis was described by Tang in the book by Li & Tang, 1988 on page 17 in Chinese.. At the end of the book a brief summary in English includied a misspelled name for the species, artomisiphilus. This spelling was accepted by Ben-Dov as the accepted valid name. However, according to Article 24 of the ICZN, if the name is spelled in more than one way in ghe original publication, the spelling chosen by the first reviser is the correct original spelling. In this case, the first reviser is Tang 1992, who spelled the species name as artomisiphilis, not Ben-Dov (1994). Therefore, we have revised the valid name to reflect this spelling. Illustr.
