Remarks
- Systematics: Trabutina andreui was originally described in Trabutina because of its round body shape and felted ovisac. In Danzig & Miller, 1996, it was suggested that this species is not congeneric with Trabutina because it lacks most salient characteristics of the genus and it does not occur on Tamarix. Although they did not study other genera of related mealybugs, they determined that it has several similarities to Amonostherium. Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin (2015) compared the lectotype and paralectotype of Trabutina andreui with types of Mirococcopsis salina and did not find any discrete differences. However, they determined that this species belonged to the genus Nudicauda.
- Structure: Adult female broadly oval, about 1.3 mm long. Snyrnnsr 6-7-segmented. Legs thin in comparison with two other species of the genus. Few translucent pores of very small size present on hind coxae. Both pairs of ostioles present. Circulus absent. (Danzig & Gavrilov--Zimin, 2015)
- General Remarks: Good description and illustration of the adult female given by Gómez Menor Ortega (1948). Good description of the adult female given by Danzig & Miller (1996). Description of junior synonym, Nudicauda salina, in Tang, 1992.
