Remarks
- Systematics: The new genus is close to Megacanthaspis Takagi, 1961 and Poliaspoides MacGillivray, 1921, but can be distinguished by lacking a perivulvar pore and having 4 microtubular duct groups in venter. It also differs from the other genus in this family by presence of the marginal mammilla spine. (Wu, 20T1)
Takagi, 2014 determined that although the genus was described in the Diaspidiae, the figure in the description was an "aclerdid nymph probably a male." He determined that "Mammilla, Wu, 2011, therefore, should be synonymous with Aclerda Signoret 1874, or Nipponaclerda McConnell, 1954, family Aclerdidae. He also stated that .it is homonymous with the gastropod genus Mammilla Schumacher, 1817
