Remarks
- Systematics: Nipponorthezia guizhouensis sp. n. is similar to N. ardisiae Kuwana, 1916 in lacking wax plates on head and thorax on venter, but can be distinguished by having a group of 8–10 quadrilocular disc pores laterad to each spiracular opening (N. ardisiae has 5–7 pores in this position) and the antenna bearing four flagellate sensory setae (N. ardisiae has three). Nipponorthezia guizhouensis sp. n. also resembles N. taiwaniana Kozár & Wu in Kozár, 2004, in having the setae on the antenna and legs all slender and straight, but differs in having 8–10 quadrilocular disc pores in a group laterad to each spiracular opening (N. taiwaniana has 14-24 pores in this position) and the dorsum without grouped quadrilocular pores (present in N. taiwaniana).
- Structure: Body oval, brown or yellow. Wax protrusions short, located at the edges of the body and on the dorsal midline. Ovisac as long as body. (Zheng & Xing, 2020)
