Remarks
- Systematics: Watson (2021) studied the type material of Pseudococcus masakensis James, 1936 and found that it has 7-segmented antennae, smaller dorsal lanceolate setae and enlarged dorsal conical setae, no auxiliary setae in the cerarii, and a bar-like ventral sclerotisation of the anal lobe. She determined that these characters place it in Nipaecoccus and transferred the species.
- General Remarks: Good description and illustration of the adult female given by James (1936) and by De Lotto (1957b).
