Remarks
- Systematics: Subfamily: Coccinae. Tribe: Pulvinariini.
The genus Leptopulvinaria was established by Kanda (1960), and was diagnosed by absence of tarsal and claw digitules. However, Hodgson (1994) redescribed the type species based on the type specimen and found that it did in fact have tarsal digitules and claw digitules.
- Structure: Convex dorsal tubercles present or absent around submarginal area of body; only two types of ventral tubular ducts present; rather long ventral setae arranged medially between anterior to vulvar region
and near to mouthparts. (Hodgson, 1994a)
