Remarks
- Systematics: This genus differs from other genera of the Monophlebinae - Monophlebulini in the short antennae and legs, anal tube with many pores of varied form, and venter and dorsum possess many setae and pores (Foldi, 1994).
Gavrilov-Zimin, 2018, resurrected the tribe Monophlebulini within the family Margarodidae to place the genus Gullania in relation to other genera that he felt belonged in a subfamily of Monophlebinae (Gullania, Insulococcus, Melaleucococcus, Modicicoccus, Monophlebidus, Nodulicoccus, Peengea, Perissopneumon and Tessarobelus)
