Remarks
- Structure: Colour photograph given by Kawai (1980). Eggs were elongate oval shaped and pearly white, and measured 0.32 mm long and 0.15 mm wide. Cream colored crawlers lacked mealy cover and after four to five days of congregated feeding, these dispersed and started secreting the mealy wax. Females were elongate oval and creamy white, with size ranging from 2.1- 2.7 mm in length (mean 2.13 mm), and width from 0.95- 1.29 mm (mean 1.16 mm). It has two prominent, sclerotized anal lobes each terminating in a stout spine like apical setae, with a six segmented antennae, and well developed legs. (Smitha & Mathew, 2017)
- Biology: Occurring on the roots of the host plant. The females secrete loose cottony white waxy filaments around their body before egg laying, and eggs were laid inside the cottony mass. From laboratory observations, it could be concluded that G. citrinus female could produce 80 eggs.
- General Remarks: Description and illustration of adult female by Williams (1969e), Yang (1982), Williams (2004a) and by Kozár & Konczné Benedicty (2007). Varshney (1992) recorded the species from India, but no material from India has been studied by Williams (1969e).
