Remarks
- Systematics: Because ScaleNet does not agree with the lumping of the many margarodoid families into the Margarodidae as suggested by Gavrilov-Zimin (2018) it has been necessary to assign the new taxa described in this publication into the family organization used in ScaleNet. Thus, we have placed Eremostoma klugeri Gavrilov-Zimin and Crambostoma largecicatricosum Gavrilov-Zimin in the Coelostomidiidae even though the latter has several characteristics of the Monophlebidae.
This monotypic genus differs from other genera in the Coelostomidiidae by having only one type of multilocular pores (with two large dentral loculi), anal tube with internal sclerotized ring of irregular pores and in the presence of only two sensillae on each face of the trochanter. (Gavrilov-Zimin, 2018)
- Structure: Adult female antenae and legs normally developed. Mouthparts reduced. Thoracic spirales and abdominal spiracles without wax pores inside of atrium. (Gavrilov-Zimin, 2018)
- General Remarks: Description and illustration in Gavrilov-Zimin, 2018.
