Remarks
- Systematics: Phylogenetic analysis by Powell et al. (2024) using morphology demonstrates that the four species previously placed in the family Carayonemidae form a monophyletic group that should be placed within the Ortheziidae as the subfamily Carayoneminae.
- Biology: The host plant of this species is unknown; the specimens were separated, by means of a Berlese funnel, from soil litter of a primary forest (Richard, 1986).
- General Remarks: Description and illustration of the adult female given by Richard (1986). Richard (1986) described the first and second instar nymph.
